CLT and PwC host Scale | Impact Cleantech Executive Evening January, 2019 Over 160 executives from the clean tech sector joined CLT and PwC at the capstone event of its jointly-delivered Scale | Impact Cleantech accelerator programme. All seven clean tech companies that graduated from the programme presented their technologies to interested stakeholders and buyers across buildings, power, waste and water sectors. Executives packed the hall of this oversubscribed showcase to learn about the start-ups’ value propositions and the applications of their technologies to solve real challenges faced in their sector. For more information on the programme and the clean tech cohort, download the cohort book. The scale-ups included: Arvia Technology: Offering an Innovative, modular treatment method to reduce hard-to-treat organics, micropollutants, and colour from water and wastewater streams CCM Technologies: Technology to extract phosphorous and ammonia from water / wastewater, capture CO2, produce fertilizer and manage industrial waste streams U-Earth: Air purification technologies that eliminate airborne pollutants, smells and VOCs, creating a ‘bubble’ of pure air Virtual Power Solutions: Software-driven energy efficiency technologies that enable demand-response Naked Energy: Highly efficient combined heat and power solutions by integrating solar PV and solar thermal into a single, low-profile unit LightFi: Dynamic HVAC solutions that respond in real time based on the number of people occupying a room without requiring costly retrofits Oxto Energy: Flywheel-enabled energy storage systems to balance loads and capitalise on energy balancing markets The Scale | Impact Cleantech programme helped the scale-up companies fine-tune their commercialisation skills through four intensive Professional Development Days. The pitches and networking at this Executive Evening capped the programme and furnished the companies with the connections they needed to access key decisions-makers in their industry.
