CLT sponsors the 10th annual Rushlight Show

Hundreds of leaders from the UK’s clean tech community gathered at London’s Royal Society for the 10th annual Rushlight Show on 30 January. The event gave clean tech innovators an opportunity to meet with financiers and potential business partners to improve their likelihood of rapid commercialisation.

CLT’s CEO Beverley Gower-Jones chaired the Clean Tech Conference. In her opening remarks, she highlighted the opportunities afforded by an accelerated low carbon transition, particularly in terms of job creation and export prospects.

At the earlier UK Transport Energy Breakfast & Seminar, Bob Moran, Head of Environmental Transport at the Department for Transport, delved into the UK’s progress on the decarbonisation journey for each of aviation, road, rail and shipping.

Throughout the day more than 40 cleantech innovations showcased their products and services on stage for Venture Capital pitches and at stalls and technology exhibits. The Clean Tech Conference was followed by the Rushlight Awards, which recognised top performing UK companies across a range of categories.

The Rushlight Show is an important platform for companies to promote their innovations, pitch for funding, and network with decision-makers in the clean tech space. Each year, it helps to facilitate valuable conversations which could lead to the next significant disruption in the low carbon economy.
