Since 2006, CLT has worked with entrepreneurs, industry and government to help clean tech businesses succeed and accelerate low-carbon technologies to market. We deliver both regional and sector-specific cleantech accelerators and programmes to support the decarbonisation of industry. We work with companies innovating across the Renewables, Energy Networks, Buildings, DSR, Transport, Industry, CCUS, and Waste & Water sectors. We were the lead delivery partner for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy’s Energy Entrepreneurs Fund (EEF) for nine years which incubates entrepreneurs that have received technology development grants. You can see who we have worked with here. CLT has also been expanding its international presence, delivering energy innovation work in Brazil, Mexico, and India. We were also selected as the official innovation partner for the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi. More recently, CLT is leading several cross-sector programmes across the innovation ecosystem to explore a range of intervention mechanisms to unlock investment into adoption and scale-up of new clean technologies. CLT works closely with the Clean Growth Fund, a £100 million venture capital fund that invests in early-stage, disruptive cleantech innovative, high-growth companies. CGF and CLT share an office, and CLT provides support to CGF, including pipeline, techno-market due diligence, and support to portfolio companies. About the role CLT has a small core team and can offer you the opportunity to get involved with and shape CLT’s growing domestic and international business. This role exposes you to the new technologies being developed within the CleanTech sector and provides hands-on experience working with R&D and start-up initiatives, placing you at the cutting edge of science and technology. You will have an opportunity to make a difference by supporting the commercialisation of these technologies and thereby contribute to a future sustainable and low-carbon economy. It is envisaged that you will: Support or lead acceleration support tasks for cleantech SMEs Support or lead consultancy projects for public and private sector clients Assist the Clean Growth Fund portfolio companies Provide input into business development proposals, including creating budget forecasts and contributing to programme development strategies Support in outbound comms and social media activity Represent CLT at cleantech events and support events that CLT hosts Support or lead internal activities of the company, including building CLT’s knowledge base, improving internal business processes and maintaining the marketing and contacts databases Have the right to work in the UKerences and major low carbon events. CLT will support your development so that you can gain the experience you need to meet your career goals. You will have a two-year tailored career development plan that will be jointly agreed upon. Requirements We are open to applicants at various stages of their careers, but you must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience Alongside being a team player with a can-do attitude, at a minimum, we expect you to: Have a demonstrated passion for sustainability and clean technology Have gained and wish to further invest in relevant knowledge, sector specialisation, analytical and consulting skills Have a good bachelor’s degree in science or engineering Be fluent in spoken and written English, with strong writing and synthesis skills Have excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills Have experience structuring and conducting primary and/or secondary research Be proficient in the main Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) including building models in Excel Have demonstrable experience in analysing data and creating compelling summaries/visualisations Have experience presenting findings to clients in a business environment Be proactive and willing to get involved in the variety of activities CLT has to offer Make a positive contribution to our working environment and culture It is desirable for you to: Have experience working with clean technology and/or innovation Have experience with decarbonisation projects if you are a more experienced applicant Have experience of consulting projects if you are a more experienced applicant Have experience of taking on some level of leadership role within projects or workstreams How to apply Please email your CV with a short description of why you are interested in this role to Natalie Fredericks, natalie.fredericks@carbonlimitingtechnologies.com For the short description, 5-10 sentences in your email will suffice, a full cover letter is not required.
